Biography
Professor Božidar Banović is a Full Professor at Faculty of Law, University of Kragujevac and Faculty of Security Studies at University of Belgrade. He was born in 1960 in Belgrade.He graduated at Faculty of law, where he also obtained his PhD degree in the field of criminal law. He obtained the title of docent in 1989 and the title of Professor in 1990, and he became a Full Professor in 1996. He has been teaching at Higher School of Internal Affairs in Belgrade since 1986, where he started as an assistent,later became a professor and performed the duties of Director and Deputee Director. He also teaches at the Academy of Criminalistics and Police Studies in Belgrade and, from 2008 at Faculty of Law in Kragujevac.
Professor Božidar Banović has been teaching criminal law and other related subjects at Faculty of Security Studies of University of Belgrade. Between 2011 and 2013 he had the function of General Inspector of Military Agency for Information and Military Agency for Security within the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia. As an autor or co-autor, he has published ten books and monographies and over eighty scientific and expert papers in the field of criminalistics, criminal procedural law and criminal law. He also used to be either a project manager or a member of the research team in more than 10 scientific and research projects related to the issues of criminal law and criminalistics.
